As part of Juice Festival

and in association with Live Theatre, New Writing North

and Apples and Snakes

Simon Mole presents:

INDIANA JONES AND THE EXTRA CHAIR!

Every family dinner needs a hero…

Relating to your relations isn’t always easy, and it’s often on those rare occasions when everyone sits down to eat together that things really kick off.  Settle down for dinner and drinks as you join our hero Mike for his toughest adventure yet, meeting his mum’s new boyfriend!

Simon Mole’s groundbreaking one man show is back, and together with acclaimed site-specific theatre director Peader Kirk, he has been let loose in Newcastle’s Live Theatre!  Throughout the Juice Festival, Simon and Peader will collaborate with a group of young writers from New Writing North, who will be creating brand new pieces of spoken word poetry to perform themselves at the final event!

This grand finale to the project will be a sensory explosion combining spoken word theatre, riotous adventure, and tasty culinary delights. Join us for the least dreaded family gathering of the year!

The creative team will be posting on this blog throughout the residency, giving an insight into their process – as well as the chance to see some of the writing as it develops!
